GRANT OPPORTUNITY FOR FREE LAPTOPS FOR ILLINOIS LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES

Technology Equipment Grant Opportunity: The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA) and the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police (ILACP) have partnered to award one-hundred and twenty-five laptops (125) to agencies in an effort to help them become NIBRS compliant with the State of Illinois.
The computers will come shipped with the appropriate software and a carrying case. Agencies awarded this technology equipment must utilize it in their efforts to become NIBRS compliant. Equipment will be awarded on a first come basis to those agencies meet the below eligibility requirements.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be an Illinois Law Enforcement Agency that is required to submit crime data/statistics to the Illinois State Police (Sheriff Offices and security departments are ineligible).
- This grant is currently aimed at agencies of any size
- Agency must commit to utilizing this equipment to become NIBRS compliant.
- Non-compliant NIBRS agency or an agency that is already NIBRS compliant - but is using home or personal computers to achieve said compliance.
Application Process:
- Complete the one-page application process, by clicking below.
- You will be notified if your application has been approved or denied within approximately two weeks.
- If approved, the agency must agree to complete required paperwork documenting the receipt of the equipment for
grant compliance purposes.
- The equipment will become the property of the agency and the agency will be responsible for the maintenance of
the equipment.
- Equipment will be shipped to the approved agency as quickly as possible subject to supply demands.
