The ILACP is thrilled to offer training on the new Drones as First Responders Act. It will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28 via Zoom. COST: This training is FREE to all ILACP members and $20 for all non-members REQUIREMENTS: Restricted to Law Enforcement Only REGISTRATION: Attendees must register at https://ilacp.memberclicks.net/drones-act-training-2023#!/ HOSTS: Lemont Police Chief Marc Maton, Vernon Hills Police Chief Pat Kreis, and Aurora Police Lieutenant Andy Wolcott DETAILS: 1.5-hour class on the “Drones as First Responders Act” that was signed into law by Illinois Governor JB Pritzker on June 16, 2023. It takes effect immediately. The hosts for this training session will go into detail about the new law including what is permitted and prohibited, reporting requirements, violations, information retention, and more when it comes to law enforcement using drones.
