Traffic Safety Programs

The foundation enjoys three grants through the Illinois Department of Transportation to promote traffic safety in Illinois. One major, popular event is the Illinois Traffic Safety Challenge, which culminates with an awards luncheon in August every year during the Midwest Security & Police Conference and Expo. Local departments receive awards for their work in traffic safety.

Line of Duty Death assistance to police departments

When an Illinois law enforcement officer dies in the line of duty, the association's Funeral Assistance Team is prepared to offer help immediately to the local agency planning an appropriate funeral. The foundation raises funds to support the Funeral Assistance Team.
