Officer Carol Cadle Named ILACP Officer of the Year

The Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police (ILACP) proud to announce that Carol Stream Police Department Officer Carol Cadle, affectionately known as #CrimeFreeCarol, has been named as this year's recipient of the prestigious James J. Wade "Most Outstanding Officer of the Year" Award by the ILACP!

Officer Cadle's unwavering dedication to crime prevention and community engagement has transformed countless lives in the Village of Carol Stream. From leading the Community Emergency Response Team and Citizen Police Academy to pioneering innovative outreach initiatives like the Blessing Bags Program and Adopt-A-Cop, she has made a positive impact for sure.
Officer Cadle’s commitment to community safety and connection doesn’t stop there. She leads a team of more than 75 police volunteers who have collectively served more than 2,000 hours at community events as of 2024. Her passion for building relationships shines through her involvement with school programs, elderly support initiatives, and the renowned National Night Out event.
With nearly three decades of dedicated service and a steadfast commitment to fostering strong community relationships, Officer Cadle is truly a beacon of leadership and compassion. Congratulations, Carol, on this well-deserved honor!

For these reasons and more, the ILACP recognizes Carol Stream Police Officer Carol Cadle as our 2025 Most Outstanding Officer of the Year. She will receive special commendation and an award at the ILACP Annual Awards Banquet on April 25, 2025.
