Lt. Brian MurphyLt. Brian Murphy served with the Oak Creek, WI Police Department for over 22 years. Lt. Murphy is a former Marine and also served working as an adjunct instructor for L.S.U., Texas A&M and New Mexico Tech and remains an instructor for Waukesha Area Technical College. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Marian University. Lt. Murphy was the first LEO on scene during the tragic Sikh Temple massacre in August of 2012. The incident left 6 innocent people dead from a ruthless killer who systematically & methodically planned his attack. Lt. Murphy was a former SWAT team leader who received the Medal of Valor from the President of the United States and was introduced during a presidential national address. Lt. Murphy is now a national speaker discussing lessons learned and speaks on “how seconds lost, are lives lost” during acts of school & workplace violence.
