New trailer bill fact sheet availableOctober 14, 2021 We want the General Assembly to take action on a Trailer Bill during the fall veto session, which begins next week.
Last week, negotiations began with the SAFE-T Act sponsors on what we need in a new trailer bill, with a focus on aspects of the law that are effective January 1, 2022. For us, these include changes in the 3-phone-call provision, the body camera law, and more. We are calling this Trailer Bill 2, because the first trailer bill was passed in May 2021.
